If I were Mexican, even just a small part, I would feel so honored and even proud to be Catholic, to have the special patronage of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Such a glorious heritage -- the Catholic Faith -- which was given to the Mexican people 500 years ago by Our Lady herself!
Which is why I am extra sad to see Mexicans come to this country and become atheist, worldly, hedonistic, apostate, or heretic (protestant). I mean, show me a Mexican who is any of those things, and I'll show you an abuela and an abuelo who are turning over in their graves! You don't have to dig very deep to find "Catholic" in any Mexican family. The highest glory of Mexico is their Catholicism. Give that up, and what do you have? Nothing. The same is true for other peoples and races, but that's beside the point.
I know of one such man. He has a barbecue food truck, and was advertising on Facebook ON GOOD FRIDAY all the delicious savory meats he had to offer. I was ashamed FOR him, and called him out on it. The other FB members weren't happy with my repeating the 2nd paragraph, above ("Which is why. I am extra sad...") and I ended up being kicked off that local small town's FB group. I mean, even if he is personally going to be an apostate, HE SHOULD KNOW BETTER.
