  • Evangelism is difficult but very rewarding work. God is pleased with us when we find time to spread the Faith and grow the Church ....

    ...

Edit: Priests are like Fathers in the family. They have the primary responsibility to grow the Church by Baptizing and Evangelizing. And especially in situations where Priests are not doing their duty, laity too may help Evangelize, and then bring souls to Priests to receive Holy Baptism.

Xavier, you gave Cryptinox some good ideas and advice, but I am wondering why you are using such protestant language as the bolded. Where did you pick up such an irksome expression?

Also, the role of the the laity is not to fill in for a lazy, incompetent priest. The laity and the ordained have two different and distinct roles.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • Yes, this. As much as possible, you should not associate with unbelievers.
If this is so, then I have no choice but to become a hermit.

  • But the biggest is the prudential consideration.  Will whatever say do ANY good whatsoever?
Yes, example is the #1 form of evangelization. St. Francis of Assisi said something along the lines of "Preach. Use words, if necessary."
If someone shows positive signs of being receptive to the faith, be "ready always to satisfy every one that asketh you a reason of that hope which is in you." (1 Pet. 3:15).

See: Treatise on Preaching by Humbert of Romans, O.P. (d. 1277), a classic treatise on preaching/evangelization by a luminary of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans).
