  • I have a paperback version of Jone's Moral Theology.  Does anyone know if there is an online version?  Searching in an online version makes things so much easier.  I know McHugh and Callan is online via Project Gutenberg.

  • I have a .PDF copy of Jone that I downloaded form somewhere, may have been from the Library forum here.  I'll have a look, and if it's not there, I'll uploade my copy.

  • So it appears that I posted it before.  Link still works.

    https://www.cathinfo.com/crisis-in-the-church/moral-theology-by-jone-(full-pdf)/

It's not the best format but it is searchable.

  • Prummer is also available online, in full (searchable): https://archive.org/details/HandbookOfMoralTheology

"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

Excellent.  I wasn't aware of that one.  Thanks.  It says it's missing pages 97-103 (and they are in fact gone) ... the section about charity, cooperation in evil, and causing scandal.  Too bad, especially the cooperation in evil section is important these days.  That was the entire debate around the COVID jabs.

This is great, thanks.  I've already downloaded it.  So now I have Pruemmer as well as Jone and McHugh/Callan.

It's too bad that Prummer is incomplete. His section on cooperation with evil is rather pertinent to today ... and also to the entire jab question.

When I was at STAS, Prummer was their moral theology textbook, but it wasn't this "concise" version.

  • Thanks for sharing the link. What the hell is with the sodomy argument in that thread?

As you know, people have their obsessions.  That was the "marijuana" thread of its day.

    In two volumes:

  • Anton Koch & Arthur Preuss (best known for his editorial work on the Pohle-Preuss dogmatic theology series of textbooks)

    https://archive.org/details/handbookofmoralt0001koch/page/n6/mode/1up

    https://archive.org/details/AHandbookOfMoralTheologyV2/page/n7/mode/1up

    https://archive.org/details/AHandbookOfMoralTheologyV3/page/n5/mode/1up

The complete set is comprised of five volumes but I have been unable to find vols. 4 & 5.

While searching I found that Preuss also has a couple of works on Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ that look interesting:

    https://archive.org/details/PreussPDF/page/n2/mode/1up

    https://archive.org/details/a-study-in-american-Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ-000000298/mode/1up

^^need to copy link and retype "Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ"
If only it were all so simple! If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?

Excellent, thank you very much.  I'm downloading both.

As George Gobel always said, "you can't hardly get them no more".
