"You blame bad churchmen for the condition the world is in. I blame husbands. They are not the priests in their home that God intends them to be. They are unbelievably self-centered, not God-centered. A wife cannot follow where a husband will not lead. He does not value his wife in the home, so to earn his love she is out in the world trying to be a man. These husbands sire many a child with no intention of fathering them. The wife tries to compensate for the big gap that he is leaving void, and she throws the whole family off balance. Without God, the husband's capacity to love goes no further than what benefits himself ...."

This is one of the reasons I never married.  I never met a lay, single, Catholic man who was truly seeking holiness and not also a vocation.  Or, if he seemed to be seeking holiness, he stopped short of human respect, or was a Jansenist posing as a Catholic.
"I would give my life for a single ceremony of the Church."  -- St. Teresa of Avila, Doctor of the Church

  •    I am in love with these words of Bp. Williamson. If what he says is exactly what God would say if He pleaed, then I am so happy to be born a girl. It is so good so beautiful!
I would rather stay at home and say "thy will be done" to a man, than work outside in army or a factory where men have to work so hard.
Feminists are fools. I cannot say how happy I am that we girls don't have to smell gasoline and resain (like my father when he returns from the factory!) we have perfumes and flowers instead.
honestly, I believe that God is more favorable to women, men have to envy us. Doing the landry is hard, but working with gun and machines are harder, thousand times harder.

Prior to the rise of feminism, some theologians thought that it is more probable that the number of women will outnumber the number of men in heaven, since they believed that women tended to take their faith more seriously in practice. Case in point, devout and sincere Isabella, and not so devout Ferdinand.
    Pray for me, always.

  • That was a good article by Bp. Williamson.  We need more good nuns so badly!
