    • This is one of my favourite paintings. I have a copy of it in my room. It is the Mater Dolorosa painted by El Greco. This is the picture of the Blessed Mother I pray before the most often. This is my favourite picture of Mary that was painted by a person and not by angels or appeared miraculously in some other way (which is not to say that a fallen human painting something this beautiful is any less a miracle).
