Fr. Sretenovic is one of the independent priests working with Fr. Perez, or at lest used to work with him. I do not see him listed as one of their priests anymore: http://www.ourladyhelpofchristians.us/olhc-general-information

FYI: He no longer works or supports Fr. Perez: https://actualcatholic.com/featured

Dear Fathers and OLHC Faithful,

At the request of his parishioners, effective the first of December, I have decided to take over at Monsignor Ruscitto’s old parish in Tulare.

As you may recall, I left for my sabbatical on May 31st, not long before Monsignor died on June 11th.  While I do believe that, all things being equal, I would have moved to Tulare anyway, it is also true that I would not have come back even if this opportunity had not presented itself.  I decided to take a step back because of the growing number of issues I have had at OLHC with the pastor, some of which have become longstanding.  Lack of leadership, bad prudential judgments, and grave mishandling of pastoral situations, which includes the mistreatment of parishioners, top the list.  Both priests, not just the pastor, share the blame with regard to the last issue, which is a more recent development.

In good conscience, I will not continue with things as they are.  I doubt that these issues will ever be resolved.  If they are resolved, as they should be, I am still continuing on this present course of action no matter what.

I never wanted to leave you, especially after all of the years I have been at OLHC.  My above concerns were specifically mentioned on numerous occasions before taking my sabbatical, but those efforts were in vain.  I have since come to believe that there is more good that I can do for the Church and for souls elsewhere.  My future parish has always been Liturgically “pre-55”.  They possess a setup more in accord with Catholic Tradition, namely that a priest is in charge of the property and day to day operations.  I am also setting up a mission in Riverside County as well as in Cortez, CO.

All of you at OLHC should know of my ongoing prayers and affection.  I ask for your prayers for me in return.  God bless you.

For Christ the King,
Fr. Paul Sretenovic

Fr. Sretenovic was conditionally ordained by Bishop Zendejas one year ago, with Bishop Williamson assisting.  Father left the parish in Garden Grove and has since taken up the parish of Msgr. Rosciutto (sp).  He is not affiliated with any group at present.  Feel free to use the contact info for further questions.

Hello.  This is Father Sretenovic.  Just to clarify, yes, I was conditionally Ordained by Bishop Zendejas in the attendance of Bishop Williamson, whom assisted.  That was Low Sunday last year.  My parents were the witnesses.  The priest I took over for, Monsignor Raymond Ruscitto, was featured in the well-known book, Priest, Where is Thy Mass?  Mass, Where is Thy Priest?  Also, just for clarification, I made a mistake in my open letter as I am not starting a mission in Cortez, CO.  That is actually Bishop Zendejas’ mission that I visit virtually once a month.  When I wrote what I did, I was thinking more of what I was starting to do and immediately recognized my mistake after I sent it.  Mea culpa!
