For what doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what exchange shall a man give for his soul?

Huh?  The virus can affect anyone, and everyone should observe the recommended precautions.  This is what the news media has been reporting, though one needs to read past the headlines to get the details.
As with any infectious pathogen, the very young, the elderly, and those with a compromised or weak immune response are more susceptible to contagion and also will often become sicker when infected.
I live in Washington state which is currently the most affected in the U.S.  The first cases (and deaths) here involved persons in their 70's - 90's living in a skilled nursing facility.  The most recent confirmed case, and the first in my immediate local area, involves someone in their 20's.
Do please say a prayer for Father Alejandro Trejo of the Diocese of Yakima, Washington, who is being treated for COVID-19.  Fr. Trejo is 48.

I was being sarcastic.  That's precisely my point.  There's a lot of propaganda out there that it's only affecting the elderly.

Ah, my apologies for misconstruing your meaning.

  • How sad.  We will pray for him. These hospitals are dangerous.

People in our area have been sick and dying. I think this virus was in our area but no one really knew.

I feel bad can’t visit the hospitals or attend funerals.
May God bless you and keep you

  •  Nowhere in the article does it say that this man was tested for Coronavirus, which makes a diagnosis impossible as the common flu has identical symptoms.Does just saying you have it mean that you have it? My friend had the (regular) flu for 6 weeks starting after Christmas-fever, cough, the whole nine yards.( of course he had taken the flu shot)
. Needless to say that this poor young man is sick and I will pray for him.

Possible someone could have infected him on purpose?  Just sayin'...

Weaponizing oneself is not as far-fetched as it sounds.  Kind of like the old joke about the guy with rabies making a list of the people he was going to bite.

  •  Alexander Tschugguel, the young man who removed pachamama idols from a Catholic church and threw them in the river during the Amazon Synod, is on the mend and returning home from the hospital, where he was being treated for the coronavirus.
