Yes, the old guard are passing away.  To my knowledge, Father Leo Carley is the last remaining Traditional priest ordained under Pius XII (1957).  AND he's still active, continuing to offer daily Mass for his large chapel.  I've been meaning to go visit him and write up a biography so that knowledge of his life and work is not lost to posterity.  Father is one of the most low-profile Trad priests you'll ever find.  He just wants to take care of the faithful.  He has zero online footprint despite being a Traditional priest for nearly 60 years.

I would look forward to your writing up that biography on Fr Carley.  I only met him the one time, at the Mass at the volunteer fire station in suburban Charleston WV (Cross Lanes), which has since been discontinued, and he made a very good impression on me.

I wonder if Vennari or Matt will appeal to their readers to pray for the repose of his soul.  Or, perhaps they'll completely ignore his passing like they did Fr. Wathen.
John Vennari has been dead for years.

I met Fr. Carly about a dozen years ago at his chapel in Ohio. I was very impressed with his kindness in the confessional and his humility with his flock.  I’m glad to hear he is still among us, offering Mass. Surely he is up there in years.  Does he still have a chapel in Wheeling, W.Va.?  Or has someone else taken over?
