I will try to answer your question --
At least Christ, when He lived on earth 2,000 years ago, was not veiled under the appearances of bread and wine.
So today, if "everyone" can touch Him without distinction, we are likely to lose faith in the Real Presence -- and this is exactly what happened in the Catholic Church starting in 1969.
After a while, after decades of treating the Sacred Body of Christ like a cracker eaten at a common meal, large numbers of Catholics stopped believing in the Real Presence.
At any rate, the Catholic Church guided by the Holy Ghost ended the practice of Communion in the Hand centuries ago -- it must have been for a good reason.
We have a saying: "Familiarity breeds contempt".
Yes, we must love Christ like a father (or spouse) but what daughter or wife must not also have a certain respect for her father/husband? You can be close and familiar without taking away all respect.
