Ok, so I plan to do the indulgence on November 20th feast of Christ the king

My pieta book also contains some prayers of indulgences I've noticed. You can do one on good Friday Infront of a crucifix

Why wait until November?  As mentioned here, you can obtain a plenary indulgence at any time.

Of course, the condition for a plenary (beside the usual ... Holy Communion, Confession. prayers for the intentions of the Holy Father) is that the person be free from all ATTACHMENT to sin.  This does not mean that the person is no longer a sinner, just that the person not have any attachment to them, which is a subtle but very real difference.

The above applies only in a church as I've added.

When making the stations AT HOME , the prayers according to the Raccolta are indeed very specific and may not be altered!
1.  An Act of Contrition
2.  Twenty (20) Paters, Aves, and Glorias (14 for the stations, 5 in remembrance of the five wounds of Christ and once for the Pope)

Note:  If you have a Stations rosary, it will have one extra set of beads.  This is purely  for balance and is optional.  On those beads, before the first station we meditate on the Agony in the Garden

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but with my disability I have to simplify things and need help staying on track or I get lost in the weeds.  I use a video to help me stay focused on my rosary or with the stations but will be going off line soon.

1.  So if I got a Stations rosary for doing the indulgence at home, could I simply meditate on each station or would I need to pray the specific prayers of the Station?

2.  Then I could pray through the whole thing with the three Paters, Aves and Glorias between each Station, and then add 5 more "Stations" at the end for the five wounds of Christ plus one more "Station" for the Pope?

Thanks

If you want the indulgence you have to say the prayers.

2.  Then I could pray through the whole thing with the three Paters, Aves and Glorias between each Station, and then add 5 more "Stations" at the end for the five wounds of Christ plus one more "Station" set for the Pope?  YES

Thanks
If you have trouble focusing, use a crucifix and a stations of the cross book then add the Pater Ave and Gloria 6 times.
If you buy a rosary, make sure it has 51 beads.  Many sold on line are missing the 6th bead on the pendant and  3 beads after the 14th station.

Here is a short five minute video explaining the devotion of the Stations and all it entails.
Note what the rosary looks like, five beads together and one separate on the pendant.

Thank you.

So are these prayers required as well?  Or can you just meditate and do the Paters, Aves and Glorias?   (I love saying them but sometimes it can be difficult.)

V. We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You. (Genuflect)
R. Because, by Your holy cross, You have redeemed the world.
Priest:

CONSIDER HOW JESUS CHRIST, after being scourged and
crowned with thorns, was unjustly condemned by Pilate to
die on the cross.

All say:
ADORABLE JESUS, it was not Pilate; no, it was my sins
that condemned You to die. I beseech You, by the merits
of this sorrowful journey, to assist my soul on its journey to
eternity. I love You, beloved Jesus; I love You more than I love
myself. With all my heart I repent of ever having offended You.
Grant that I may love You always; and then do with me as You will.

Our Father…
Cuius ánimam geméntem,
contristátam et doléntem
pertransívit gladius
Through her heart, His sorrow sharing
All His bitter anguish bearing
Now at length the sword has passed
