  • I was just informed by St. Mary Oratory in Rockford that Reverend Canon Gerald Bell will be the priest offering the Requiem Mass.

  • Today we discuss the recent passing of Thomas A. Nelson, the founder of TAN Books & Publishers. He was a pioneer of the Traditional Movement, which is still crucial for Catholics trying to keep the Faith during the current Crisis in the Church.

That "priest" is from ICK.  It's a shame that Mr Nelson did so much for Tradition and his funeral mass is done by a fake priest.  May God have mercy on his soul.

  • I have been informed by a very credible source that Mr. Nelson will be buried next to his parents Milton and Mary Nelson. Their tombstone is seen below.

  • Interesting to note the difference in coverage by the SSPX on their U.S.A. website upon the death of Fr. Nicholas Gruner as opposed to the coverage upon the death of Mr. Thomas A. Nelson.  Fr. Gruner (see below) was given 3 separate notices while Mr. Nelson who founded and oversaw TAN Books for some 40 years (1967 to 2008) was given absolutely no coverage whatsoever.

Bp. Fellay presided (with a good number of SSPX priests in attendance) over the Requiem Mass for Fr. Gruner.  Hopefully, at least one SSPX priest was in attendance at Mr. Nelson's funeral.  I bring all this up because the total lack of coverage on Mr. Nelson belies the fact that so many of the SSPX priests, seminarians, religious, 3rd Order members, and oblates, not to mention the SSPX Mass attendees and contributors to the SSPX have relied so extensively and continue to rely so extensively on the solid traditional Catholic material found in literally hundreds of different TAN books that Mr. Nelson had published in his day.
