Beautiful,beautiful, St. Silvan.
But John XXIII ???????? How is that even possible, that's for another thread!
With wax, smoke, and mirrors perhaps. I actually wrote the article I posted and included John XXIII against my better judgement. Perhaps I will revise it tomorrow.
I should also add that John XXIII was embalmed with a new technique which was said to be the cause of his preservation, and it was only parts of his body which were not corrupted.
I just found this interesting Reuters article about Pope John Paul II which says: "[Pope John Paul II] lies in public view for five full days before his funeral on Friday and Vatican spokesman Joaquin Navarro-Valls said only superficial preservation measures are being used to preserve his remains. He said the Pope has not been embalmed.
He did not say what those measures were, but despite them
the body was clearly showing the signs of death four days after his passing."
If JPII is dug up in 50 years and he is incorrupt, it will indeed be a miracle, because apparently he was already corrupted before he was buried.
