Title: Imm. conception and Emmerich
Post by: spouse of Jesus on December 12, 2009, 04:00:36 AM
Anne Catherine Emmerich is on the way to canonization. I read her narration of lives of our Lord and Lady on-line. It was written beautifully, but I think it contained heresy:
She said that our Lady wasn't conceived in a normal way, rather a spiritual meeting between her parents caused her conception.

I thought it was a heresy to say so!

It wasn't yet defined in Anne Catherine Emmerich's day.

Can you please tell me the name of the council/synod that declared it a heresy?

 It has never been 'defined'.
