  • Cathmom, Thank you for the update and I am so sorry for your family and your uncle.  We will pray for his conversion and for his health.  Even stage 4 people have recovered from cancer.

Besides the DVD that I mentioned, there is a book that has been recommended to me:
"World Without Cancer: The Story of Vitamin B17" By G. Edward Griffin.

You can get it from Amazon. BTW, I also saw the DVD that I mentioned to you on Amazon: The Forbidden Cures.

Best wishes to your family and your uncle.  May the Holy Family and St. Peregrine cure him.

  • Please be assured of our continued prayers.

Please be sure to keep a close eye to the medical care your uncle receives. Doctors sometimes treat people as if they were perishable food items, with expiration dates that can be absolutely ascertainable. People don't come with those sorts of expiration dates. The Heavenly Physician: it is He in Whose sacred Hands all our lives always and everywhere are.

The Blessed Virgin Mary is always there too, ready and willing to give us all the graces we need. If she gave us our very God and Savior, and cheerfully and courageously cooperated in the work of our redemption, can she deny us a grace like physical welfare, a gift so infinitesimally small in comparison to the Divine Giver she has given us? She shall surely grant it to your uncle if it is for the greater good of his soul and the greater glory of God; or she shall grant your uncle something far, far greater.

Our Lady, Health of the Sick, pray for him and for us all.

  • I will keep you and your uncle in my prayers, CathMomof7. So sorry for you and your family, I realize this must be difficult to go through.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • How bad is stage 4?  Will continue to pray...
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

  • The 2nd of May is the Feast Day of St. Peregrine Laziosi, Confessor, in the [traditional] Calendar proper to the Servite Order. It ranks as a Double of the Second Class and has a proper Office.

This is the day we ought to pray to St. Peregrine for all our kinsmen and kinswomen who are afflicted with cancer.

Here is a rough translation of the Collect as found in the Servite Breviary:

O God, Who didst marvelously grant unto blessed Peregrine an Angel for a companion, the Mother of God for teacher, and Jesus as the Physician unto [the healing of] a foul ulcer: grant by his merits, we implore, that we may singularly love [our] holy Angel [Guardian], the Virgin and the Savior upon the earth, and praise them in the heavens. Through the same our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who together with Thee doth live and reign in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, throughout all ages of ages. Amen.
