  • The 6 cm uterine fibroid I had has doubled in size in just 5 months (now about the size of a grapefruit). The doctor said she was concerned because it is very fast growing. She said she has seen large fibroids in patients before but has never personally come across a patient who had one as fast growing as mine. I am going to be scheduled for MRI imaging on Monday or Tuesday to determine if the fibroid is cancerous. I read that there is a 1 to 2 in 1000 chance of a fibroid being maligant. But, at the same time, a rapidly growing large fibroid is usually an indication of malignancy (thought not always).

Please pray that my fibroid is not cancerous.

Thank you in advance for your prayers.

  • I am a uterine cancer survivor, of 16 years ago.  Mine was very large and almost through the uterine wall.  They were concerned cancer cells pushed through it.

The doctors told me my calmness about the situtation was helpful in my ability to survive.  I remember being told, and my only fear was telling my husband and young adult children.
My family told me later that it helped them because of my calm and accepting attitude.

That type of cancer if caught in time, you will have a very good chance to have a longer life.

I will keep you also in my prayers.
    Please pray for my soul.

  • I was hoping you would tell your story, Myrna.  Don't forget to tell about your happiness to be going to heaven.  I'm sure that had a lot to do with it.  Praying for you, Alex.

  •   Cancer is such a mysetery. Sometimes it comes and goes as if it was never there, sometimes it deprives a patient of everything.
My grandpa and uncle both got a same kind of cancer at the same time. Grandpa got worse and worse day by day, yet his son was cured and returned to the ordinary life very soon.

Well that was 16 years ago and at that time, I thought I was really going to die, and get off this earth, I was happy, really!  In my mind I was ready to go!
I have to back up a little, but a very long time ago, about 30 years or so, I had a dream that I would die on April 11, but no year was shown to me.  It was one of those dreams that were more vivid then the others.

Getting back to my story,  the doctor's scheduled my surgery on April 11, so I was really convinced.  I told my 2 daughters about it, and they both came from Spokane to be with me for my surgery.  I lived in California at that time.  Because I was so happy about possibly going to Heaven, they (my daughters) were the first people I saw when I woke up from the surgery, and they tell me today how disappointed I was, to see them, and realize I was still on this sinful earth.  We laugh about it today.

Just so you know, I didn't really expect to go straight to Heaven, I had Purgatory in the back of my mind, and dreaded that, but I did feel that Heaven was my goal and this was my start. Yet I am still here and cancer free.

This thread is about Alex not my story, therefore everyone should and I feel they will pray for you Alex.

Please let us know what the doctors say!  Stay calm is my advice.
    Please pray for my soul.

  • Thank you for your prayers.

Thank you Myrna for telling your story. It is encouraging since you survived yours. I predicted years ago that I would get cancer in the uterus because of a sin I committed in my past. Unlike you, however, I am not ready to go to heaven yet because I need to be here on earth to suffer and pray more for the conversion of my family members who are all on the road to hell. Plus, what will happen to Granny if I die. She will be sent to a nursing home and she will die neglected and abandoned. And unlike you, if I have cancer, I feel that maybe I won't have the strength to fight it. I am already mentally and physically drained from 7 years of taking care of Granny with having only had 1 day off a year for the first 4 years and no whole day off for the past 3 years (and very little sleep for the past 7 years). My body feels like it is 80 years old and there are many days where I feel so old and tired that I feel like I am going to lay down to die because I have no more strength to keep going.

  • Do yourself a favor, Alex.  Concentrate on God and how very good He is.  Put forth as much fruit as you can.

  •   Alex, a grandchild like you is surely a gift from God. I wish all old people could have one like you.

  • I really can relate Alex.  At that time in my life, 16 years ago when I was diagnosed, I didn't have the responsibilities that I have now.    Since then my mom, came to live with me, and I have been caring for her, she is 95 years old, and healthier than I am today.  So now my prayer is, that I will live long enough to bury her, because if I die first she will have to go and live with my sister, who also will be kind and good to her, no doubt about that, but she is not Traditional Catholic.

When the time comes for her, I fear my sister will call a Vatican II priest over a traditional one.  Right now my mom is traditional and the CMRI priest comes to the house and gives her the sacraments.  So I have more reason to live right now, a purpose I can see.
    Please pray for my soul.

Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.
