I have compulsion to call the devil the four letter L word that we'd use for Jesus, and I have compulsions to call things satanic. Jesus help me. What do I do? I can't pray anymore. It's been so hard for me since January. If you have followed me since I joined, Should I get an exorcism?

Do not despair.

Do not give in.

Keep praying.

The Rosary is very powerful.

The Mass will give you graces.

Also, the devil uses scruples to wreck everything for us.

At least on CathInfo you will have support and comfort from us.

Again, I recommend that you seek guidance from a good Traditional priest.

I don't know much about your personal situation, so I cannot say much about it either. However, here are the things I'd recommend:

1- Talk to a good Traditional priest (even if you don't have one near you, you can always contact one)
2- Pray the Rosary daily
3- Wear the Brown Scapular
4- Ask God to help you

Don't give in to your temptations. Know that the devil is a wicked being who is attempting to drag your soul to hell. God, on the other hand, loves you and wants you to spend eternity in Heaven with Him. If you do the things we here have all recommended, you should be fine.

It might be wise here to ask "Why me?"

I would guess that you have been considering on how to become holy. The devil hates that and you for it. You need to keep sacramentals nearby. Bless yourself with holy water making the sign of the Cross and follow the advice of the others who have so kindly responded.

Talk to your priest, yes, but also talk to your doctor. Compulsions such as you mention here can be a sign of an illness. I have some good friends who have found help from their doctors for such difficulties. Best wishes to you.

Do NOT let any doctor talk you into taking psych meds. Definitely talk to a traditional priest.

This sounds like a demonic obsession. Find an exorcist. Don't let the psychiatrists medicate you.

CatherineofSienna's suggestion to seek out an exorcist is a good idea. Be sure to ask a Tradtional Catholic priest.

You might also consider seeking a good doctor who is knowledgable in natural medicine.

I have looked into heavy metal toxicity a bit and find that it can cause a host of problems with the brain as well as multiple health problems.

I consulted with a doctor who has been practicing alternative medicine for many years and he told me about patients who had signs of mental illnesses but after going through a detoxing program as well as a good natural diet and supplementation, then became very health and their mental instabilities disappeared.

Try reading up on the symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and see if they sound familiar. You should definitely talk to a doctor and a priest.

Yes Catherineofsiena,

You are right.

Gobosox, find a traditional Catholic priest.

He does not have to be nearby. You can talk on the phone.

Steer clear of psychiatrists. All that stems from the devil as well.

Also, they could even lock you up in a mental hospital.

Just avoid these anti-Catholic people.

Two things that are helpful are a properly blessed (from the Roman Ritual) with its exorcism blessing, the St. Benedict medal.

When troubled by spiritual attacks one can touch it to one's forehead and pray.

Praying a short prayer, aloud, even if only very quietly, such as, "Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, protect us." is also very helpful. The holy names said aloud, prayerfully and devoutly, have great good effect.
