As for the topic at hand, just say a Pater and 3 Aves for those involved and move on.
What people do we pray for? We don't even know if the story is true. If I wrote here every accident that occurred this day or crime or dead that the news has in just my city, I would soon fill up the pages of CI and no one could even think.

By the way, EVERYONE every day include in your rosary the intentions for Bp. Faure and add Fr. Grieg Gonzalez who is very ill in the hospital with all kinds of problems. Fr. Gonzalez  was the priest shot during mass in 2003 see  Police say shooter tried to kill priest – Poynter

Perhaps it's Providential that it was brought to our attention? Maybe Anne doing this is an act meant to open up graces for whatever individuals involved? That's usually how I interpret prayer requests, even for faceless, nameless people I don't know (which includes pretty much everyone here).

And even if it's false, Our Lady will redistribute the graces as she sees fit anyway. Prayers are never wasted.

I will try to remember to do so.

P.S.

I'll pray for the Poor Souls tonight as usual in my Rosary, but I'll be brutally honest and frank: I didn't know these people, they mean nothing to me except as abstract human beings.

Human beings were not meant to have strong, emotional feelings for each of 7.4 billion people. Our hearts -- our emotional energy -- is limited. Back in normal times, we only heard about accidents in our village, neighborhood, or local area. We KNEW the people involved. That closeness motivated us to prayers, works of charity, etc. and it was beautiful.

Now we get to hear about every person who dies anywhere in the world on the nightly news -- at least those who died in some tragic or unusual way. EMOTIONAL OVERLOAD. EMOTIONAL EXHAUSTION. You stop caring. You become numb to the daily news talking about death and suffering. THAT IS NORMAL. YOU ARE NOT A MONSTER. God can love each and every human being on earth with a deep love, enough to go through the Passion and Death on Calvary for each one if such were necessary. God's love is infinite. MINE IS NOT.

Just like when you have 6,000 "friends" on Facebook, such friendship apparently means nothing. A person can't closely relate, connect to, or spend time with 6,000 people.
I certainly agree about the emotional aspect of not being able to emotionally sympathise with people we don't know. And I think this only goes to demonstrate how supernatural the virtue of charity is! To love our neighbour as God loves them. How can I possibly love someone on the other side of the world whom I've never met? With man it is impossible, but only with and through God is it possible.

Also interestingly the greek word used for neighbour is proximae, so it is literally those proximate to you. Naturally that would be your family and neighbours but supernaturally, with God being everywhere, everyone is proximate.

What is the probability that this post is about an event that didn't happen but was fabricated just to give this "Ann Evergreen" an air of legitimacy because her reputation stinks here. Too bad some of you fell for it. This is the same person who repeatedly misquoted a Bible verse that even a borderline retarded person can't misquote, if he truly read the passage. This post is an attempt to save face.

Trust me. I know psychology, propaganda and cointelpro. This "Ann Evergreen" is a flunky at it.
I logged in here tonight because I got a notice someone sent me mail. YOU ARE EVIL. PURE EVIL.

There was a real accident, and there are REAL people involved--my neighbours you ASS.

YOU ARE A PIECE OF GARBAGE if this is your attitude towards people, and confirmation that I am making the right choice if I never come back to this site.

I don't know what the heck you are babbling on about with your cointelpro crap, but you are EVIL. Your heart is cold of stone. You are probably that scalper guy on GAB right? MegaJew, or whatever your handle is?

YOU ARE FULL OF PUKE, and PRIDE, and STENCH. Just because someone makes a mistake in typing a Bible quote means nothing except they made a mistake! So what?

GET LOST SATAN! How's that? Easier for you to understand? JERK.

I ask for prayers for all sorts of things. My neighbours were involved.
