There is some confusion among devotees of the Holy Face devotion: The problem is with which picture is to be used. One Holy Face is from the Shroud and the other of the living Christ as impressed on Veronica's veil. I personally think the issue is of no importance for, after all, the Holy Face is the Holy Face. The drawing/painting of the One in the book is of the living Christ and is therefore from the human imagination, whereas the Holy face of the Shroud (which I prefer) is an authentic Holy Face, but, again, of the dead Christ. Some say the one in the book used by DuPont at his shrine, is the one we should use. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
