  • You know, it doesn't matter if you don't know much Latin. Two reasons why:

1- You can always follow along in a Missal.

2- There's always going to be something about the Mass you don't understand. That is the way it's supposed to be. Same thing with God. There will always be something about Him you don't understand. If the Mass wasn't a Mistery it wouldn't be the Mass, and if God wasn't a Mistery He wouldn't be God.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • Daegus,
Thank you for sharing a bit of your story with us in your search for the true Mass.  May God guide you in your search.

As far as clothes go, you are absolutely right to not let that stop you from going to a TLM.  Are there any 2nd hand stores in your area?  If so, you may find some good clothes there although it may take a few trips to find something that fits and is still in good shape.  We have personally made some great finds at 2nd hand stores.
I have also found that a man can get by on one decent navy suit coat with a fairly well matched pair of dress pants.  I found a good suitcoat myself on the clearance rack at JC Penney's.  What a deal and it's just your basic classic style so it shouldn't go out of style. That's another tip on searching for good clothes:  look for a classic style that won't go OUT of style and if the material is of good quality you may still be wearing it when you become a grandpa!

  • Here's something I found that may provide much food for meditation upon the subject of vocations.
Please ignore all that I have written regarding sedevacantism.
