    • Today I read this on a fssp website:

    Whenever the Assumption falls on a Saturday or on a Monday, the precept to attend Mass is abrogated. 1 Mass Pro Populo is proscribed when it is a Holy Day of Obligation

    Is this true?

    • My Chapel says it's a holy day of obligation- at least in the old law

    Yes in the United States. This means that for most of the United States, there's only 3 Holy Days this year on the New Calendar: All Saints, Immaculate Conception, and Christmas.

    The sspx chapel i go to did not announce it as a holy day of obligation, but did say there would be masses.  Hence my confusion.
