  • Here is a commentary upon the Lessons of the First Nocturn at Matins for the Feast of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, taken from the tome Daily Breviary Meditations: Meditations for Every Day on the Scriptural Lessons of the Roman Breviary, in accordance with the Encyclical "Divino Afflante," vol. 4, written by His Excellency the Most Rev. Joseph Angrisani, Bishop of Casale-Monferrato, and translated by Rev. Father Joseph A. McMullin of St. Charles Seminary at Philadelphia, PA (New York: Benziger Brothers, Inc., 1954).

Although these beautiful and edifying reflections were written for clerics, layfolk may gain exceeding great benefit therefrom.
