  • Happy Feast Day of St. Albert the Great!

From the Dominican Breviary translated by the Dominican Fathers of the Irish Province and published as the Breviary according to the Rite of the Order of Preachers: Approved by Apostolic Authority; Published by Order of the Most Reverend Father Aniceto Fernandez, Master General of the Order (Dublin: Browne and Nolan, Ltd., 1967), here are the Lessons and Responsories for Matins of the proper Office for the Feast of Saint Albert the Great.

Despite the late publication and lexicological modernity of the translation, the exquisite beauty of the original Latin text of the Office is still splendidly to be seen therein.

  • From the tome Kyrie Eleison: Two Hundred Litanies with Historico-Liturgical Introduction and Notes by Rev. Fr. Benjamin Francis Musser, O.F.M. (Westminster, MD: The Newman Bookshop, 1944), here is a Litany in honor of St. Albert the Great.

Attention Catholic students: St. Albert the Great is the Saint to whom one ought to have recourse before science examinations!
