  • My grandmother has bronchitis. She also has plegm that she hasn't been able to get rid of for 1 month or more. She seemed to be getting better from both these problems the day before last but then the doctor told us to give her cough medicine that loosens the phlegm. This made her cough all night non-stop and, by the time morning came, she was in worse condition than before. The doctor then told us to give her a cough suppressant so she wouldn't cough so much. But the cough suppressant doesn't get rid of the phlegm but allows more to build up since the phlegm is not being loosened. She is having problems breathing. We can't give her phlegm loosener or a phlegm suppressant. I think she looks like she might be end up developing pneumonia because we can't get rid of the phlegm and she is having problems breathing. I am thinking of not giving her any cough medicine - I don't know what to do.

PLEASE PRAY FOR MY GRANDMOTHER THAT SHE MAY GET BETTER.

  • I'm a granny so I'll say prayers for your granny.  Her doctor fits my opinion of doctors to a tee.

Please pray for the repose of her soul.

  • Thank you all for your prayers. They have really helped. It looked like my 95 year old Granny's end was going to come soon - she was in terrible condition (looked half-comatose yesterday)and even said herself that she was going to die. But she is recovering well from her severe bronchitis now and I don't think it will turn into pneumonia.

  • Praise God and Our Lady.  I've been wondering and worrying about her.  Thanks for letting us know.  I will keep her in my prayers for a time.
