I was blessed to be able to go to Mass at St. Joseph's today on the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lady. You wouldn't know it from the poor surroundings, but it is a beautiful little haven where Father Courtney Krier has continued God's mission to keep the Faith. It made me think some of the best chapels are the ones hidden among poor surroundings, just like when Jesus was born in a stable.
For where it is (a somewhat dodgy section of downtown Las Vegas), it is very nice. My mother,
requiescat in pace, commented that "this place has potential". My father, again,
RIP, remained with our car as he did not get a good feeling about leaving it parked. Out-of-state plates and loaded with luggage would have immediately screamed "tourist".
