We knew him. He was one of the kindest priests I know. He was also a very good friend of Solange Hertz and she used to attend his D.L. on Sundays. I regret not being able to attend his funeral on Friday but some of my family will.

My family are I are planning to go...The Melkite Church where the funeral is taking place sadly has a modernized [/u]Byzantine Liturgy. So, the pastor at our church said that even though we can attend; we can not participate or receive Communion...I have never been to any sort of Byzantine Funeral before. So, it will be interesting at any rate. :-)

Or maybe Fr. was not traditional but maybe only conservative?
