  • Our friend, Fr. Casimir Peterson a 95 year old priest and Canon Lawyer of the Archdiocese of Baltimore died Dec. 4th. I beg your prayers for the repose of his soul.

Fr. Peterson was very helpful to the SS. Peter and Paul (independent) chapel in York, PA. For many years, he would come "at the drop of a hat" to assist us whenever he was needed. The Baltimore diocese is keeping a low profile on the funeral arrangements and only agreed to have a Requiem Mass after a lawyer told them he would be buried at an independent chapel if they didn't comply with father's wishes.

  • Always edifying to hear of pastors like this, and very sad to hear when they've gone.  RIP, Fr. Peterson.
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).
