Title: Flame of Love Chaplet

Has anyone heard of the Flame of Love Chaplet of Mary's Immaculate Heart?

It was brought to my attention recently but it seems odd to me. Anyone know anything about this and whether or not this devotion has merit?

The chaplet is as follows:


Using a rosary, make the Sign of the Cross five times in veneration of the Five Holy Wounds of our Savior.

On the large beads, say:
Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Pray for those  who seek refuge in you.
On the small beads, say:
Holy Mother, save us through your Immaculate Heart’s Flame of Love.
At the end of the chaplet, say the Glory Be three times.


Again, I'm not sure why the chaplet seems wrong to me. I just do. I would like to hear any insights anyone might have.

One of my dear novus ordo friends tells me she enjoys praying the Divine Mercy chaplet on the rosary instead of the rosary because it is shorter.  

Could it be these chaplets that are encouraged to be prayed on rosary beads, are just that!  Taking the place of the rosary!

According to the website, the Blessed Mother changed the Hail Mary and that we should pray this:

  Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, FLOOD  THE WHOLE HUMANITY WITH THE BLESSINGS OF YOUR FLAME OF LOVE, NOW AND AT THE HOUR OF OUR DEATH.  Amen."

I haven't examined the website that much, but it seems Novus Ordo to me so I would avoid it.

Thanks.  It just sounded wrong.  I also found the chaplet on a few websites, all of which were very odd.

Yes. It seems that the Divine Mercy Chaplet is replacing the Rosary within the Novus Ordo.
