  • Happy Feast Day of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary!

May the intercession of our Sorrowful Mother avail each of us unto the increase of the theological virtues and the gifts of the Holy Ghost, so that, by her divinely ordained tutelage, we may be enabled to observe with utmost devotion the sacred Mysteries of this coming Holy Week.

May the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary shower upon us the graces of the Sacred Heart of her Divine Son!

  • Here is a commentary upon the Mass for the Feast Day of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary, taken from the late Cardinal Schuster's The Sacramentary (Liber Sacramentorum): Historical and Liturgical Notes on the Roman Missal (vol. IV, trans. Arthur Levelis-Marke; New York: Benziger Brothers, 1929).

  • In his work The Mother of The Savior and Our Interior Life (Part II, chap. ii., art. 3; trans. Rev. Father Bernard J. Kelley; Dublin: Golden Eagle Books, Ltd., 1948), Rev. Fr. Reginald Garrigou-Lagrange expounds upon the sufferings of Our Lady and how significant they are to our interior life.
