    For those who may be interested, Fr. Alphonsus has his own chapel now, it's just a humble little chapel for now, reminiscent of going to Mass when Mass was in peoples' homes back in the early days of this crisis, but he will be expanding in the near future.

    Fr. does travel a bit, so if he visits your area to give one of his missions, go to it, you will be glad you did.

    • I wonder why there is no mention of the Transalpine Redemptorists, to which he belongs, or did.

    They align themselves with Francis, but he mentions +Fellay.

    • Hmmm.  When Father Alphonsus filled in for Father Carley at IHM in Akron, we asked him to stay and eventually take over for Father Carley (now 90).

    How can +Fellay be the superior of another religious congregation??

    Looks like the dream of capturing all of tradition, and bringing it to modernist Rome wrapped in a bow, still lives.

    He has no business arrogating to himself the authority to lead an independent religious congregation (in this respect he deviates dramatically from the position of +Lefebvre).

    Interesting that this latest spin-off is apparently permitted to use it.

    Anyone know why?

    Why wouldn't they keep the name?  It's not as if they've aligned with Modernist Rome ... yet.

    • The Transalpine Redemptorists from Papa Stonsay  Scotland,are still using that name and have bought land in Rosebud County Montana last year and call the property “Flower of Montana.”.

    • Just call or message Father and let him know about Scott Hahn.   A few years back, Father was at our chapel and saw a book sale.  He personally spent an hour going through every book and throwing many in the trash (where Hahn's belongs).  I'll be seeing him soon at a parish mission, and I'll also mention it to him.

    Ya, I don't know what happened, I took the tiny url down and coulda swore that I put the whole link in it's place, and it worked if you copy and pasted.
