Title: False Priesthood in the Novus Ordo
Post by: holysoulsacademy on February 28, 2014, 08:18:28 PM
+AMDG+
Feast Of SAINT HILARY (468 A.D.) & SAINT ROMANUS (460 A.D.)

If the priests in the NO after VII believe the Mass is the Last Supper vs The Sacrifice on Calvary, and
Since those priests are mostly those that became Bishops,
Then it can be argued that the NO Holy Orders have doubtful validity, because even if:
~ the Form is valid
~ the Matter is valid
~ the Priest is valid

~ these Bishops do not INTEND to do what the Church intends to do, since their idea of a Priest is more along the lines of a Protestant Minister ordained to celebrate a Protestant Service, and not one who is ordained to offer The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

Bringing us back to the statement in the Regina Coeli Report:
"Truth is not firstly a question of words but of the ideas for which the words stand."
~ meaning the Truth of the "word" Priest and the idea for which that word stands for.

Sacramental intention is merely to "do what the Church does."  It does not actually require one to believe in what the Church does.

The orders of Novus Ordo priests are troublesome because the form of the sacrament of Holy Orders for the priesthood has been tampered with, and in the case of the episcopacy, completely changed.

So what?
Btw I doubt that is 100% true.
Did he not also go down the road of entertaining sedevacantism without reaching a conclusion because he died?

He did, at least publicly and it least on occasion.

What did Paul VI change first, the rite of consecration for the bishop or the rite of ordination for the priest?

Where would we begin to find that kind of information?
It would be very interesting to know.
