  • Hey everyone,

I'm hoping to take my wife to spend an hour with Our Blessed Lord today. Is there any docuмents online you may be aware of which are available, which might assist in guiding her in spending time with Our Lord?

  • Some extracts from St. Peter Julian Eymard's 'The Divine Eucharist'?

    Sincerely,

  • Its online in more than one place..

It can be enough to just look at Him, and have Him look at you?

Or try to pray with all your heart periodically or keep silent in His presence?

Well have a splendid time I am sure you will do fine. :D

And perhaps a small prayer book? The Pieta is often found in adoration book baskets.

A farmer I used to know would go every day in the morning before he started the day's work, before the tabernacle. That's an ideal sort of way to live..

Deo gratias et Mariae semper Virgini.
    Sincerely,

    Shin

  • Well, in short, I didn't. Ended up going to the local CMRI chapel last night, because gas has been tight, and its so close, but they didn't do holy hour- its a small little chapel attached to a house, and I know their priests are spread thin as it is down here. When I called, I asked if they did mass, which I was fortunately able to attend, but I didn't clarify if they'd had holy hour or not. The priest I met was very kind and humble, like the other CMRI priests I've met. I'm glad I went. I'll have to find out if they do Adoration every Friday or just first Fridays at the SSPX.

Thank you so much for your advice. I found St. Peter Julian Eymard's extracts, and they were quite beautiful, and I even used some of his advice during mass in prayer and thanksgiving to our Blessed Lord.  I have heard priests on Audio Sancto quote him often, it was good to find some of his material myself.

  • Thanks for asking, I wondered where to go till I looked through the library and saw his book and in it some meditations specifically, so helpful to me too. Deo gratias et Mariae semper Virgini.

Hope you two get to go before long.

There's nothing to compare it to. You look at Him, and He looks at you.

Even if you can't go, try to spend some time -- adore Him from afar.
    Sincerely,

    Shin
