Title: Devotion to the Most Sacred Heart
Post by: dendever on April 18, 2012, 11:20:55 PM
As I understand it, there is a tradition of placing a red candle, similar to a light of presence, around a statue of the Sacred Heart. Any info on this tradition?
Is it appropriate to have one red candle and one white, or should the red candle stand alone?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks and God Bless,

 I do not know the customary candle color for devotions, but red makes sense.  Or red glass votives, which used to be very common.
