Are the doctors able to do anything?
You and your family have been through a lot lately. I wish I had some great words of wisdom for you, but all I can offer is a little lame advice from Winston Churchill:
"When you're going through hell...keep going."
Thank you for asking.
I'm not entirely sure, as I do not live close to them (my family is in a self-imposed Californian exile.... the rest live in Texas). My mother has been gone for about a month, taking care of my cousin in the hospital since his father needs to work and his mother doesn't speak English. She will be coming home in a few weeks I think.
He is currently going through chemotherapy, but the doctors say that his state is very precarious. He is doing better now, I have been told. But the doctors said about a week ago that due to a blood infection (or something I'm not sure of) his stomach could burst if the condition gets worse, which would put him in a very grave, if not fatal condition. I would say that he is still in grave danger, as his condition could worsen at any time.
I've started a novena to Saint Joseph for him.
