  • Just came across this, apparently it was a common ceremony before vatican 2 to infuse grace into women who recently gave birth regardless if their child was dead or alive. Has anyone here had this ceremony done? Do modern traditional clergy know about this?

  • The Churching of Women is very well known. The ceremony is contained in the Rituale Romanum and is celebrated for any Catholic woman who has recently given birth. One need only ask for the blessing.
