Did the dead body of Christ possess divinity? Or the Divine nature left it?

This is a GREAT question, spouse!

As I understand it, the Divinity WAS still united to the Sacred Body, although the soul of Jesus had, indeed, been separated therefrom (which is the definition of death). I am sorry I cannot say more now, but perhaps someone else will give you a much more complete answer. Godspeed.

My intention for asking this question was to make sure I am not under a material heresy. I was afraid lest I believe for example that it hadn't the Divinity while the revers is true.
This could make me a material heretic IMO. Thus I felt obliged to ask this question and know the truth.
Perhaps I am too scruplous.

I can't remember for sure, but I believe this is touched on in The Passion of Jesus and It's Hidden Meaning. I believe the author concluded the Divinity of Christ did not leave His body.

Okay, I have not read any of the responses, as I wanted to give my own understanding to see if I am a heretic or not! I would say, 'Yes, Christ's body was always divine.' So, am I correct?
