Peace and all good in Jesus!

It has been a long time (since November of last year, actually) since I've been on CathInfo. Suffice it to say for now that many things have transpired. Some have been wonderful; some have been incredibly difficult.

We need prayer. I humbly ask that you include these needs in your intentions during prayer, especially during the Rosary.

    1) I have been working only one day a week for some time now. I have several physical issues that make most work impossible. Please pray that I am able to find ways to support my wife and three children.

    2) I have struggled with fear and doubt regarding my "music ministry" (a phrase which I actually loathe, because I am just a singer with a guitar, not a learned or holy person). As such, at various times I have sold all my equipment. I now have opportunities to sing for various churches again. Please petition Our Lord with me for the things I need to be able to accomplish
    these ministry goals.

    3) I am about to undertake an extended period of fasting and prayer. The enemy of souls is most certainly after me, and has increased his attacks of temptation and depression. I simply MUST do what I know Jesus is calling me to do, namely, to fast, pray and make a pilgrimage/retreat to be alone with Him and listen to the voice of the Holy Ghost. I ask that you pray for me whenever you take a meal; one of the goals of this time of fasting will be to improve my overall health and to break my addiction to food, especially to sugar and caffeine.

I am SO looking forward to participating in CathInfo on as much of a regular basis as Our Lord allows; I am anticipating reading everyone's opinions and the latest developments in your outposts of Holy Church.

Again, a joy to have the time to be able to be here, even briefly, and all praise to Our Lord for bringing me some clarity about the direction of my inner life.

    I covet your prayers.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to Thee.

St. Anthony of Padua, hammer of heretics, pray for us.

St. Francis of Assisi, champion of humility and lover of peace, pray for us.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
This evil of heresy spreads itself. The doctrines of godliness are overturned; the rules of the Church are in confusion; the ambition of the unprincipled seizes upon places of authority; and the chief seat [the Papacy] is now openly proposed as a rewar

  • Hey Stephen! I'm happy to hear from you after so long. Just sorry it's only to give us bad news.

 Prayers for you in the rosary of course.

Can't promise a prayer at each meal, but I'll certainly try.

Get back in touch with us when your retreat's complete!

  • Praying. Stephen have you ever thought of writing it is easy and after you figure out how to do submissions it's actually pretty easy to get published. Just find a magazine or other media that you like or know about the subject matter, find their submissions criteria online (they will usually tell you what kind of article they like to get as well as what percentage of their articles are freelance. You might be surprised most articles are written by people who don't actually work for the magazine. You can earn 100, up to 500 dollars for most articles. You seem to write well, so why not try it out? St. Anthony Messenger, Magnificat, Our Sunday Visitor, etc. there are many Catholic (maybe not Trad) mags that you can write for or secular mags too.

  • Welcome back, Stephen Francis! Please be assured of my prayers.

    God Bless.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

Update: I will be beginning my fasting/diet/retreat tomorrow.

My family is facing a serious financial crisis right now. Deo gratias, we have our house payment taken care of. Food is also not an issue, as we receive food stamps.

The crush comes when we try to pay for gas for the car, phone service (which includes internet), and all of the other bills and expenses a family of 5 incurs. It's the little things that add up.

Thank you for your continued petitions in prayer. We are trusting that our Father will meet every need. He cares for the least of His creatures and especially loves us in Christ.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph soon!

Ss. Francis and Clare, lovers of the poor, pray for us.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

  • Please be assured of my prayers.

    Please keep persevering in prayer.

Remember, the inexhaustible charity of the Sacred Heart of Our Lord shall ever avail us not only unto eternal salvation, but also unto the remedy of what calamities and anxieties soever may afflict us in our terrestrial pilgrimage to Heaven, if only we abandon ourselves with filial confidence to the mysterious designs of Divine Providence.

Behold, how much God has loved us, and yet He is still so desirous to show us more and more love:
