  • Many thanks for posting this, Magdalena.  Francis Poulenc wrote a beautiful opera entitled, "Dialogues Des Carmelites".  These beautiful nuns offered their lives for France and the end of the French Revolution. Our Lord honored their heroic sacrifice by ending the horrifying revolution two weeks later.  May Catholic France rise again.

    Indeed, May Catholic France rise again.  I have Poulenc's opera, and will be watching it tomorrow.

  • Wow.  That is my favourite opera! I have the version with Jessye Norman from the Met in 1987, and the French version too.

    I will be listening to it as well ...

    We have the feast on the 24th of June in the Carmelite office.

  • The office for that feast is taken from the Common of Virgins, so that is the hymn below. I am sorry, but I do not find a unique hymn for their feast...
