    • My family and some other families visited for a few hours last night. We prayed the litany at his bedside. He is more lucid than I expected, but declining. 

    We noticed he was not wearing his scapular, as apparently a nurse had removed it earlier when bathing him. It was explained to the nurse that it should not be removed and that if for some reason it could not remain around his neck, should be wrapped to his wrist or ankle. She understood. 

    He's still in the wayfaring state this morning, as far as I know.

    • EM died this evening around 830 pm on his 91st birthday. I know the family is grateful for all the prayers. Please keep his soul's repose in your intentions.
