  • Is this letter, along with the rather incriminating evidence of blatant apostasy, supposed to demonstrate Bp. Wiliamson's colossal sanity?

"There, for the first time, I prayed with animists." - J.P.II, 1983.
"Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is all man."

  • I need to find the info on the dramatic increase of the practice of VooDoo in Benin in the wake of JP2's unhappy visit.  They had been having some success in lowering the rate of human sacrice, but that's what VooDoo is.  It is the national religion of that country.

This praying with VooDoo witches was the breaking point for me

The brief descriptions of what VooDoo actually is in the OP really do not show the reader what this practice is.  The purpose of the ceremonies is to become possessed, literally.

It is not like other dangerous or heinous activities which must be avoided because one MIGHT get possessed.   It is too hideous and impure to write about.

A couple of prayers at the ѕуηαgσgυє is nothing compared to this,IMO.

The thing about this demon worshipping is that it spreads and spreads, the curses and spells cast cause more and more people to be demonically possessed.

I have to say that the shaking and distorted features of such a formerly  handsome man as JP2 was are very similar to the (horrible) movies showing authentic VooDoo.

I guess I wish +Williamson had persued this vigorously rather than the gas chamber business.

  • quote "

The Wanderer and the Homiletic and Pastoral Review have accused the Society again of schism... Gentlemen of The Wanderer, Fathers of the Review, must you see in the Osservatore Romano a picture of the Pope shaking hands with Satan himself before you will admit that there is an emergency in the Church justifying obedience to God before obedience to men? Would you admit it even then?"

Add the Remnant newspaper to the list of back stabbers.

Looks like Bp. Williamson's apostasy over load circuit breakers were functional. That should come as a standard factory equipment, but due to modifications made in 1870, a massive recall is necessary.
