"Charity begins at home".
Greg Becnel, as well as his wife and kids, are long-time Trads by the strict definition of the term.
If you're looking for a worthy recipient of your charity, please consider Greg Becnel and his family.
Greg was a seminarian at STAS (Winona, MN) the same time I was there. He is a great combination of cultured (with that French/Louisiana influence) and down to earth. He is an architect by trade, and a good one. He recently started his own business.
I'm not just throwing words around. He has a knowledge and appreciation of true (beautiful) architecture; he could design a beautiful, Traditional, Catholic church if he wanted to. Meanwhile, at the seminary he butchered the chickens (he knew what he was doing) after I pulled their heads off, during one of our manual labor afternoons. All I could do was swing chickens around and give their heads a yank (so it would detach), and later I helped pluck the recently killed chickens. Greg knew how to butcher them.
So I actually know him personally. Our families have visited together many times at his home near Houston. He is a friend to me and my family *before* he came into this situation.
I'm creating this second thread, with a better title, because I don't want it to get buried by other requests for help.
