  • Francis Removes Latin als Normative Novus Ordo Language

Francis' Liturgy Congregation issued the decree “Postquam Summus Pontifex” (October 22) which contains new regulations for the translation of liturgical books.

Most of the long text deals with standard matters. A revolutionary move is contained in Number 54 which says that Latin is no longer required for a normative typical edition of liturgical books.

The language seems to be deliberately incomprehensible, “Having obtained recognitio by decree of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments the texts of the Proper, in Latin or in another language, are to be considered typical.”

However, in the Novus Ordo it doesn't matter whether a text has a "recognitio" or not as every priest does what he wants anyway.

The decree allows adaptions ("inculturation") including texts drawn up solely in the vernacular.

  • And so, the term “Latin rite” became a mere historical reference to former times...

  • Listen.  You can’t fix stupid heretic.

During his visit to Philly, it was mostly about the gαys. Then there is his butt friendly build bridges buddy.  Orgies in the Vatican. Then they worship Mudder Earth. If it quacks like a duck.

  So, *multiple* languages are considered typical.  Which means, there is no typical/normal language.  More V2 style contradictions.

  • Novus Ordo is NOT the Roman Rite - because there's no continuity between it and the Traditional Mass - nor "Latin Rite" - I guess now this is more clear - Francis is only telling that openly what the other popes were stalling just to push an "continuity". Oh well

  • Pray for Bergoglio's expedient, but holy, death.
"Be not therefore solicitous for tomorrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof." [Matt. 6:34]

"In all thy works remember thy last end, and thou shalt never sin." [Ecclus. 7:40]

"A holy man continueth in wisdom as the sun: but a fool is changed as the moon." [Ecclus. 27:12]

I pray that he leaves the papal office, how he does that, is up to him, or up to Almighty God, depending on how it happens.

But I just wonder what it will be like, if Tagle is the next pope, abrogates Quo primum (or attempts to), and says that the TLM may never be celebrated by any priest, anywhere, under any circuмstances, "we have moved on, we have completed what Francis started, if you want a Latin Mass, you will have the Novus Ordo in Latin, if enough people in a diocese want that".

My mother-wit tells me that of those who attend the indult/motu Mass, about half would go to the SSPX and similar venues (you wouldn't have an FSSP or ICKSP anymore), and about half would return to the Novus Ordo.

I don't even think he has to go that far. He just has to mandate vaccine passports for entry into any facility owned by the Vatican. After that I think to take care of any edge cases there would be a blanket ad orientem ban. That will cover "conservative NO" as well as any Latin Masses.
Regard all of my posts as unfounded slander, heresy, theologically specious etc
I accept Church teaching on Implicit Baptism of Desire.
    Francis is Pope.
    NO is a good Mass.
    Not an ironic sig.

And then the Great Apostasy would be complete.
