That stuff is just plain ugly.  I don't know why anyone would choose this junk over a tradtiional habit.  It's like trying to blend the world and religion and then not fitting in with either one.

There was a joke in a cartoon series where the main character's son was doing Christian Rock, and the dad's response was, "you're not making Christianity better; you're making rock-n-roll worse."  Same thing here.  They're not making nuns better, but they're making fashion worse.  There's the old joke about how you can spot an NO nun even without any head covering by her "sensible shoes".

You can almost sense female religious about people.  There were a few women who I could swear had the "nun" look or vibe about them, where I actually found out later that they were ex-nuns.
