    • Today is July 14, Bastille Day the anniversary of the start of the French Revolution. I feel it is appropriate for us to keep in mind the souls of the royalists who lost their lives in the Revolution, as well as the reversion of that once great Catholic nation France, during our prayers today.

    • It is astonishing that they celebrate this day, like it's some great event.  It should be a day of mourning.

    • We live in a world where the wholesale slaughter of children is celebrated as a right, my generation (at leat here in Newfoundland) likes Stalin and finds his crimes forgivable... or necessary. The deaths of 5 000 000 Frenchmen and women was for freedom and liberty and we must idolise it... but the Inquisition which killed 6000 in a course of 500 years; murder!

    The fact that they celebrate Bastille Day is even more reason to pray for the conversion of France!

    Today is also the 441st anniversary of the promulgation of the celebrated Bull of Pope St. Pius V, Quo primum tempore.

    Hmm, is it a "coincidence" that these anniversaries coincide...?  :reporter:

    It does not surprise me. None is so vicious as the libertarian child of the revolution. Their false 'freedom' and 'liberty' were but coverwords for conspiring against throne and altar. Now whole nations are enslaved as cattle to the 'freedoms' of the secret sects.

    May St. Joan of Arc pray for us all.
