Please help. This hasn't happened before, and I don't know how to rectify it...what can I do?
A rosary on rocks? Fasting for a few days? Help!

Yes these posts definitely seem out of character for the regulars who post here.
Perhaps there is a hacker. Therefore as a precaution I tell everyone now that any strange PMs from me or any unusual posts are a sign of my account being hacked. I do not intend to post anything over emotional or make some bizzarre statement or link to anywhere.
Watch out everyone!

It is basic Catholic teaching that in order for a person to commit a moral sin, he must do so with full knowledge (both of the sin and its gravity) and he must do so with deliberate and complete consent.
In other words, you cannot accidentally commit a mortal sin.
Additionally, even if you did commit a mortal sin, self-imposed penance can be a dangerous practice. It would be better simply to go to confession and do what penance the priest directs, and leave it at that.

Just a heads up -- EVEN IF someone hacked my account or something, don't you think I'd notice -- at some point? And, you know, delete the bizarre posts I don't approve of?
Instead of going around talking about my bizarre behavior, or starting rumors about how I've been hacked or lost my mind, why don't you PM me directly so I can clear up your confusion?

I have the brown scapular and was enrolled in it by a SSPX priest.
One of the conditions to get the indulgence was to abstain from meat on friday's, and usually I dont eat meat, but today, friday, I ate 2 sausage rolls. I totally forgot that I was supposed to avoid meat today, but because I forgot it seems from what people say that it is no sin.

Yes. This happens to me sometimes. It is not a sin to eat meat on Friday if you don't know it is Friday. And I do not know if it is still a sin to eat meat on Friday anyway because the Novus Ordo says it isn't. Is that from the Church? I guess if you are a sedevacantist you believe it is still a sin.

If you accidentally ate meat on a Friday, say an extra decade of the Holy Rosary and go to confession first chance you get. Sure, to forget really isn't a sin, but WHY did you forget? Forgetfulness can be a sign of sloth when pertaining to devotional activities.

I did think that you believing that You tube was weird but that's a far cry from accusing you of 'bizarre behavior'.
Mama ChaCha didn't get her panties in a bunch when I thought her post weird. She was very level headed about my post. As for Roscoe - well Roscoe is Roscoe & I don't know what he thinks about it all.

If having accidentally eaten meat on Friday continues to bother you, simply mention it in your next Confession. What the priest says settles it. If this is your worst sin, I think you should begin signing St. in front of your name.

I'm always so sleep deprived, I hardly ever know what day it is unless I have to go somewhere to do something specific. Still, it's tough to get my head around grace, mercy and understanding. It's still a very new concept to think of God as easily forgiving..it's just going to take some time I suppose. :cowboy:
