  •   He is Holy. But what kind of holiness?
St. Jerome was Holy, Saint John Bosco was holy too. But it makes a great difference if Jesus is like St. Jerome than if He is like Don Bosco!
St. Bernadett was holy, so was Moses.
But Jesus's Holiness is like which one?
It is really important for me to know whether I am praying to 'this holiness' or 'that holiness'.

Jesus is God, so His Holiness can never be fathomed. His holiness is infinite - it is so great and limitless that it can not even be measured.

  • They all partake in His holiness.

They all have different "levels" of holiness, so to speak.

  • As the God-Man, He IS holiness.

It is like the sun versus a few pieces of mirror that reflect some portion of the sun's light.  He IS the light, creatures that are holy are but reflections of His light.

  • Also, the saints loved Him and served Him with their entire heart and soul, but He is love itself.

  • Gadius is correct. God is Creation. Satan is Destruction. Without God, Satan would have nothing to destroy, and thus evil could not exist. God creates everything, including the very emotions that Satan twists into hate. Without God, Satan couldn't even hate, because there is nothing to hate or anything from which to deteriorate into hate.

What's the point of telling you this? Just to emphasize what Gladius has already said: God by definition is all that which is good. He MUST be in order for anything to exist. Since this is the case, Holiness is God. God is Holiness, it is not separate. To appeal to God is to appeal to holiness. The manner in which certain saints appealed to God spawned different aspects of holiness. Moses was different from, say, Saint Jerome in that Moses was gifted with the power to control nature, whereas Jerome was gifted with the power to control words, being the educated writer that he was. Both appealed to God, both have holiness, just in a different manner.

In regards to being a responsible man, would it be interesting to learn, after six years of accuмulating all the wisdom you could, that you had it right all alon
