  • That was harsh, gladius.  That could drive someone off the site and this place cannot afford it -- it's getting dull.

As for "Be My Salvation," I have read many writings of the saints that are about this simplistic.  If someone told you that St. Catherine of Siena wrote this, I doubt you'd be saying the same.

I think the gist of what she was saying is that Protestants would never ask Mary to be their "salvation," as if she has the power to redeem, as they'd consider that to detract from Christ.  The point being that it takes some courage to ask Mary, a mere mortal, to be your salvation.  You may be long past the point where that startles you, but perhaps Maria-B is just now having the revelation of Mary's power.

  • Hm, I didn't realize he-she was a Feeneyite.  After reading some of her-his other posts, now I'm beginning to understand your annoyance.  He-she is harsh and uningratiating one moment, and then a sweet lily of the valley the next, whose delicate ears must not be offended.

As gladius says, time will tell.

So have I, and I love to read them regularly.  However, M-B's simplicity is affected.  She mentions it so often herself as to set off alarm bells for even the least perceptive.  You will see in time.

THIS is the key.  She is always mentioning "simplicity", especially her own, as well as that this or that is "deep".  It all has the odor of falsehood to me.

  • That was a coincidence, wasn't it?  I was about to lay into you gladius, thinking you were being mean and harsh, but luckily I didn't.  You do come off a little abrasive, but in this case you're probably right.  You're defending the turf.  I also have an uneasy feeling, the same one I had with the erstwhile DeMaistre.

I found it very odd that M-B would spend so much effort collecting breast-milk stories from VII books about the saints, and then regurgitate them all for our "benefit."  Did CathInfo have a group of people unhealthily obsessed with breast-milk that needed to be disabused of their fetish?  I must have missed that.  I found that whole post very odd in its specificity, not that I should talk about odd posts... But still.

I hadn't seen most of her-his "simplicity" posts.

I am actually among the most affable of people.  However, when I smell a fraud, I can be blunt.

  • What is the purpose of this fraud?  I know that all kinds of dubious characters patrol this board, but why?  I still can't get over the post by "Adolf Bernstein," one night after I'd posted about how Germans and Jєωs work together for world domination and here someone takes the name of Adolf Hitler mixed with Leonard Bernstein!  No one else found that striking though.

The devil plays private jokes like this.  Someone often hacks into Droleskey's website and edits his writing to make strange jokes but he never notices.  My theory is that the Cloven-Hooved One is trying to set the true elect, if any are here, against each other, to make us mistrust one another in this incredibly subtle way.

For instance, as I said Eamon, I was about to attack you in this thread.  Perhaps some kind of protective instinct for the "female" was at the bottom of it until I learned this woman was a man.  And a Feeneyite.  How childish of me.

  • For a person who picks up on and comments on every single little thing that transgresses what you think is right, you sure were careless not to notice the fact that everyone explicitly thought you were a woman.

I wasn't here intending to deceive people into thinking I was a woman.

Uh, yeah.  Whatever.  You just thought you'd let it ride, is that it?
