The thing here though is that for the Our Father, the translation has already been this way for 100 years in Spanish, French, Tagalog, etc.
It's not the Official Latin that is being changed, which on turn is a translation from Greek was from Hebrew, if I'm not mistaken. I was reading not too long ago that this prayer was edited a couple of Centuries ago too. The more original Translation is "Forgive us our debts, etc", whearas now we say "Forgive us our trespasses".
Is there any real serious change in the understanding of the prayer after the edit? Obviously, I'll continue saying it the way it was learned. Habits die hard and I have a hard time thinking this change will stick very well.
