Rev. Anthony Cekada does an excellent job of outlining the problems,
deficiencies and hazards of the new mass, in context of substituting it for
the Old Mass.

This series and this book provide concise and penetrating concepts for
anyone who wants to know for himself, or to be prepared to answer all
manner of questions about "What's wrong with the Newmass?"

This is a modern-day, fundamental apologetics course for Tradition, covered
in 14 videos, of about 10 minutes each.  It does not delve into obscure
canon law and moral theology details, but is a broad-based, street level
conversational package that you can put right to work, today.

It begins thusly:

The doctrinal ideas of the new rite are different from the doctrinal ideas
of the Old Rite.

If you perceive that in the Old Rite the treatment of the Blessed Sacrament is
more respectful, the actions of the priest are more dignified, and the
atmosphere of the Old Rite is more 'other-worldly' when compared with the
new rite, the reason is this:  the new rite is based on a new theology of the
Real Presence
, of the priesthood, and the general purpose of the Mass.

In circles where the Old Mass is celebrated under the aegis of the
Motu
Proprio, these profound theological differences are usually passed over in
silence.  Instead, the motives offered for adhering to the Old Mass tend to
be reduced to beauty, Tradition, sentiment, and preference.

Work of Human Hands was written precisely to put these theological issues
front and center in any discussion on the reform of the Mass:  past, present,
and future.
