  • I have just started reading this book.  I have read a random selection of about 3 sub-chapters.  He goes into detail about aspects of the NO that I had problems going back several years.  I am quite certain that I would have fled conciliardom in high school or early college had I read this back then.  I believe it may open the eyes of good-willed Catholics caught up in conciliardom who haven't given thought to the ills of the NO before.  I recommend the book to anyone discerning whether they should come out of the NO/conciliardom and also to present to the good-willed conciliarist relatives of those have made that decision.  I'm not sure about Matthew's rules for posing links.  But just google Fr. James Wathen.

  • I've posted the link many times - it is by far the best book on the new mass I've ever read. In many ways it has proven to be prophetic - though it was written in 1970, it could just have easily been written yesterday. The new mass truly is, the great sacrilege.

What a different world we would be living in if Fr. James Wathen had been elected Pope instead of JPII!

For him to have generated this volume in one short year, and get it into print, it would seem he had to write just about relentlessly, and even without having to do any research, but "off the top of his head."

But the book doesn't read like it is impromptu.  Compare the content and intelligence of this book to say, the sermons and conference talks of Bishop Fellay and Fr. Rostand and Fr. Themann.

    It's a different universe.
