  • Here are some English translations of the Great Commentary by the great Rev. Fr. Cornelius à Lapide. The translation was done by Anglo-Catholic scholars, but it is a pretty faithful version of the Latin text, with certain technical linguistic parts omitted I believe. Be sure to have your Douay-Rhemish version of the Holy Scriptures when reading these commentaries.

The Great Commentary upon St. Matthew (chs. 1-9)

The Great Commentary upon St. Matthew (chs. 10-21)

The Great Commentary upon St. Matthew (chs. 22-28) and upon St. Mark

The Great Commentary upon St. Luke

The Great Commentary upon St. John (chs. 1-11)

The Great Commentary upon St. John (chs. 12-21) and the Three Epistles of St. John

The Great Commentary upon the First Epistle of St. Paul to the Corinthians

The Great Commentary upon the Second Epistle of St. Paul to the Corinthians and his Epistle to the Galatians

These are the only English translations I was able to find. Loreto Publications is working on translating the entire Great Commentary, and these translations were used in their edition of the Great Commentary upon the Gospels, which are the only tomes they have published so far.

    Happy reading!  :reading:
Please ignore all that I have written regarding sedevacantism.

Hobbledehoy, you're doing a wonderful job of discovering all these resourses.
My conscience compels me to make this disclaimer lest God judges me partly culpable for the errors and heresy promoted on this forum... For the record I support neither Sedevacantism or the SSPX.  I do not define myself as either a traditionalist or Novus
